Eachcomponentis structured to (1) emphasize a requiredbehavior, (2) reinforce an expected outcome, and (3) call us all to a unified action.</p><ul><li><span >Teamwork:Accelerates</span> progress Bring out the best in your colleagues</li></ul><ul><li>Inspire:And be inspired Believe we can be impactful</li></ul><ul><li><span >Determination:Creates</span> possibilities Take actionwith intention<br /></li></ul><ul><li><span >Evolve:Continuously</span> With our communities and customer<br /></li></ul><p><br><br></p><p>Primary Duties<br /> Perform duties of a 2nd Class Shift Engineer in accordance with the Operating Engineers Regulation, applicable regulations, and company procedures.<br /> Operate, monitor, and adjust plant equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation.<br /> Monitor overall system steam, heating, cooling, and electrical loads, making operational adjustments within assigned authority.<br /> Operate boilers, chillers, CHP units, heat pumps, GA generator, and associated auxiliary equipment.<br /> Perform routine plant rounds and inspections during each shift.<br /> Record, verify, and maintain accurate operational logs, reports, and production data, including midnight readings.<br /> Perform boiler functional tests, manual boiler and gauge blowdowns, and checks of automated controls and safety devices.<br /> Respond to alarms, abnormal operating conditions, and emergencies in accordance with established procedures.<br /> Troubleshoot operating issues and take corrective action within training, certification, and assigned responsibility.<br /> Perform equipment isolation, lockout/tagout, and preparation for maintenance work as required. Carry out minor maintenance tasks and operational adjustments normally associated with plant operation.<br /> Maintain housekeeping standards in assigned work areas.<br /> Communicate operational information clearly during shift handovers.<br /> Work in accordance with instructions provided by the Chief Engineer, Lead Hand, or designate.<br /> Perform other duties consistent with the classification.<br /></p><p><br /></p><p>Health & Safety Responsibilities<br /> Perform all work in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA), applicable regulations, and company HSE policies.<br /> Follow established safe work practices and procedures.<br /> Immediately report hazards, incidents, injuries, or near misses to the Lead Hand or supervisor.<br /> Participate in safety meetings, training, and required inspections as assigned.<br /> Ensure permits and safety documentation applicable to assigned work are completed as required.<br /></p><p><br /></p><p>About Your Experience and Qualifications</p><p><br /></p><p>Hold a 2nd Class Operating Engineer Certificate.<br />Hold a valid Ontario drivers license.<br />Have a minimum of 3 years of experience operating as Shift Engineer.<br />Must be able to cover rotating shifts as required and accommodate work schedule changes on short notice.<br />Must have a strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to safely perform maintenance tasks alone or in a team setting.<br />Self-motivated individual capable of working with minimum supervision.<br />This position will have direct contact with service contractors, suppliers, inspectors (insurance and government) and customers.<br />Attendance, punctuality, appearance, and positive behavior required to foster positive relations with contractors, clients, staff, etc., that is in line with a leadership position.</p><p><br /><em>At Enwave, we embrace diversity and equal opportunity.
