We have an exciting opportunity with Trotec Laser Canada. We are looking for an Account Executive for our Materials division with extensive customer service background.

ANNUAL COMPENSATION – $45,000 to $50,000 CAD

Position Title: Account Executive – Materials

Department: Material Sales


Reports To: Regional Materials Manager

Location: Calgary, AB or Mississauga, ON


Key Responsibilities:


Increasing Turnover of Materials in the assigned region and maintaining a highly valued customer experience.

Essential Functions:

  • Effectively manage and develop the assigned customer base and regional area to exceed quarterly and annual sales targets.
  • Identify and develop new sales opportunities through outbound emails, account management calls, lead generation, and follow-ups on website or web shop inquiries.
  • Upsell products and services to maximize sale.
  • Ensure customers receive regular and effective sales calls to maintain and grow business relationships.
  • Provide timely and professional responses to customer inquiries via phone and email.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities & customer interactions.
  • Update and improve the database of prospects and existing clients, including details about client machinery, use of materials and who the decision-makers are.
  • Provide regular sales reports and insights to the Regional Materials Manager.

Market Awareness and Knowledge:

  • Stay informed about the Trotec Materials product offerings, services, and marketing initiatives
  • Communicate/Monitor competitor pricing, promotions, and market trends to stay competitive.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience in sales, customer service, or a related role.
  • Proficient French speaker is a plus
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build lasting relationships.
  • Proficient in using Salesforce (or other related CRM systems)
  • Proficient in using SOP (Experience in using SAP is a plus)
  • Self-motivated with a results-oriented mindset and a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to adapt to customer needs and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Knowledge of the laser and/or creative industry and related products is an advantage.
