The Opportunity:
We are looking for a highly skilled Manager of Accounting with a blend of public accounting and industry experience to lead complex financial reporting activities and mentor a growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional to play a pivotal role in a dynamic and evolving finance function.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage complex accounting functions, including consolidations, deferred tax, transfer pricing, and preparation of the statement of cash flows
- Oversee and review month-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with IFRS
- Provide technical accounting expertise and guidance on the application of complex accounting standards
- Collaborate cross-functionally other functional teams to ensure alignment on accounting treatments and reporting impacts
- Drive process improvements by leveraging NetSuite capabilities and provide support for current and future NetSuite module implementations to enhance efficiency, automation, and scalability across accounting operations
- Mentor and develop junior accounting staff, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth
- Support audit processes and liaise with external auditors as needed
What We Need From You:
- In-depth knowledge of IFRS, knowledge of US GAAP is a strong asset
- CPA designated
- Audit firm training is a must
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience coaching and mentoring a small team
- Strong Excel skills and will the ability to pick up new technology quickly
- Experience with NetSuite is a strong asset
