<p>Our NPO client in Hamilton is seeking a dedicated and adaptable <b>Accounting Specialist</b> to join their close-knit finance team. If you are a proactive individual with a comprehensive understanding of finance, eager to expand your skills beyond accounts payable, and thrive in a supportive yet busy environment, this opportunity is for you. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant contribution to a large agency while working within a small, collaborative team.</p>

<h3>Responsibilities:</h3>
<ul>
<li>Manage accounts payable processes and expand into other areas of finance.</li>
<li>Work closely with the Director and other staff members to provide financial services.</li>
<li>Handling General Accounting tasks</li>
<li>Bank and credit card reconciliations</li>
<li>Integrate effectively with the finance team and the agency's operational needs.</li>
<li>Cash application</li>
<li>Assist the manager with month-end reporting and year end audits</li>
<li>Utilize Sage software for financial operations</li>
</ul>
<h3>Qualifications:</h3>
<ul>
<li>Proven full-time experience in a finance role with a willingness to learn and grow.</li>
<li>All-around knowledge beyond accounts payable; non-profit experience is a plus.</li>
<li>Strong communication skills</li>
<li>Experience with Sage software is beneficial, but not a must-have if quick to learn.</li>
<li>Payroll experience is an asset</li>
</ul>
