Objective of Role :
LaSalle Investment Management is seeking an Analyst to join its Portfolio Management team in our Toronto, Canada office. The Analyst, Portfolio Management will be responsible for fund analysis, financial modeling, reporting, and investor relations. They will report to the Vice President, Portfolio Management, and work closely with other areas of organization including asset management, research, transactions, accounting and finance.
Accountabilities :
- Develop actionable portfolio analysis to support strategic decision-making for the portfolio management team.
- Support Canadian value-add funds with fund-level modeling, asset event tracking, fund compliance monitoring, valuation reviews, cash flow projections, and liquidity analysis.
- Assist portfolio and asset managers in determining optimal asset strategies to maximize investor returns.
- Coordinate and review client reporting and presentations to ensure compliance with investment management agreements.
- Prepare investor presentations, requests, and questionnaires.
- Build and refine financial models, perform scenario analysis, and test assumptions.
- Analyze investment decisions, including hold/sell strategies, financings, and capital events.
- Contribute to the development of asset and portfolio strategic plans, including leasing, capital improvements, acquisitions, and dispositions.
- Prepare annual portfolio budgets and monitor performance and variances quarterly.
- Support the asset management team with the appraisal process on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Draft internal Investment Committee memorandums as needed.
- Stay informed about market trends, economic indicators, and industry landscape.
- Assist with special projects and other analytical duties as required.
Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience :
- 2-3 years of experience in real estate investment analysis, portfolio management, or related analytical fields.
- Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or Real Estate preferred.
- Proficiency in financial modeling with Excel, ARGUS, Yardi, and other analysis software.
- Strong knowledge of DCF, NPV, and cash flow modeling.
- Excellent analytical, quantitative, and communication skills, with attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented, entrepreneurial environment.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and market conditions.
