We’re seeking an <b>Android Developer</b> to join us as we continue to build and improve upon our digital banking tools using the Android SDK to improve our member’s banking experience.</p><p><b>What you’ll do</b></p><ul><li>Contribute to innovation, lessons learned and best practices with a view of increasing the capability maturity of the IT infrastructure, leveraging technology to improve the member experience and increasing internal business efficiencies</li><li>Translate conceptual user requirements into functional requirements, analyzing and verifying requirements for completeness, consistency, comprehensibility, feasibility, and conformity to applicable standards</li><li>Architect and develop information systems using methodologies that are in conformance to prevailing and applicable professional development standards</li><li>Maintains existing systems to ensure currency with respect to regulatory compliance, underlying platform changes, business changes and other factors</li></ul><p><b>What you’ll get</b></p><ul><li>The support to grow in your career and expand your knowledge, with ample opportunities to advance.</li><li>A competitive salary plus bonuses for your hard work.</li><li>A total rewards package including health and dental benefits, pension and health spending account.</li><li>Vacation time, personal days off and a paid volunteer day to help you maintain a healthy life/work balance.</li><li>A referral bonus when you scout great talent and they’re hired to join our team.</li></ul><p><b>What you’ve got</b></p><ul><li>A post-secondary diploma or degree in a related field, plus 3 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience</li><li>Intermediate knowledge of Android application development, with experience in both Kotlin and Java</li><li>Hands-on production experience usingJetpack Compose, including UI development and state management</li><li>Strong understanding of testing practices, including unit testing, UI testing, and testable architecture</li><li>Knowledge of security and compliance practices, including secure storage, network security configuration, and familiarity with OWASP MASVS best practices</li><li>Experience with version control and CI/CD processes, including Git workflows (PRs, code reviews) and pipelines such as GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps for building, testing, and distribution</li><li>A basic understanding of the financial services industry (considered an asset)</li></ul><p><b>So, what do you think?
