Autodesk Access – Associate Software Engineer

Job Description

<p><h3>Responsibilities</h3>
<ul>
<li>Design and build scalable and resilient customer-facing applications using React and Node.js.</li>
<li>Build and maintain resilient micro-services and APIs on AWS Cloud.</li>
<li>Work in a CI/CD Cloud environment, considering the implementation of functionality through several distributed components and services.</li>
<li>Write high-quality code, adhering to coding, security and testing best practices to ensure that software is stable and reliable.</li>
<li>Assist in the operation of our production systems (on-call support, deployments, troubleshooting)</li>
<li>Collaborate effectively inside and outside the team. You enjoy working closely with others, learning from colleagues and contributing to the team by sharing knowledge and following best practices and high technical standards.</li>
</ul>
<h3>Your qualifications</h3>
<ul>
<li>BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.</li>
<li>Experience with JavaScript based programming languages like Node.js and React.</li>
<li>Experience with designing and building APIs (REST, GraphQL).</li>
<li>Experience working with relational databases and/or NoSQL (MySQL, DynamoDB).</li>
<li>Understanding of the value of testing to deliver high-quality code and hands-on experience writing unit, integration, and system tests (Jest, Mocha, Catchpoint).</li>
<li>Broad knowledge of AWS cloud services, serverless programming and cloud architectures.</li>
<li>Familiar with continuous integration/delivery, and modern development practices and tools (Jenkins, Docker, EC2).</li>
<li>Familiarity with caching technologies (Redis)</li>
<li>Familiarity with observability tools (CloudWatch, Splunk, Dynatrace).</li>
<li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate in an agile/scrum-team oriented environment.</li>
<li>Interest in working with geographically diverse teams – we have peers in the US, South America, Europe and Asia.</li>

<h3>Salary transparency</h3>
<p>Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For Canada-BC based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $68,700 and $94,490. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, our compensation package may include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.</p>
