The opportunity
We are seeking a self-driven Cloud Architect to plan and design technology solutions for client engagements.
Your Key Responsibilities
You will enable, drive, and lead initiatives focusing on establishing and embedding cloud architecture & design governance across the organization. Key functions include:
- Lead initiatives for setting up cloud architecture & technology strategies, standards, governance, and best practices for the entire organization.
- Identify appropriate cloud technologies for specific solutions and drive efforts to templatize and automate these technologies for scale across all products and applications.
- Architect & design cloud solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure) that are optimal, secure, efficient, scalable, resilient, reliable, and compliant with EY standards and policies.
- Design strategies and tools for deploying, monitoring, and managing cloud applications and services.
- Implement DevSecOps processes and CI/CD pipelines using tools like VSTS, Jira, Ansible, Jenkins, Chef.
- Build quick POCs and explore new technology solutions through coding.
Skills And Attributes For Success
- Deep understanding of cloud computing, data technologies, business drivers, emerging trends, and deployment options (preferably in Microsoft Azure and AWS).
- Expertise in designing and developing distributed, scalable products and services, including microservices on multi-platform/hybrid clouds.
- Strong knowledge of application, infrastructure, and security architecture, including non-functional aspects like performance and reliability.
- Experience with IAAS and PAAS, good understanding of Azure services, and ability to select appropriate services for workloads.
- Strategic business acumen and ability to align information systems with organizational strategy.
- Proficiency in DevOps, Agile, containers, CI/CD, and tools like VSTS, Jira.
- Experience with software development lifecycle, coding standards, source control, testing, deployment, and operations.
- Knowledge of development platforms like .Net (C#), Java, JavaScript.
- Familiarity with front-end technologies, REST/Webservices, SQL, XML, JSON, Linux, ELK, Splunk, Solr, GIT, Maven, Jenkins, and data analytics/AI technologies.
Minimum Qualifications
- 3-5 years of deep technology experience in large enterprises or web-scale companies.
- 3-5 years of experience in architecture, design, and support of distributed applications on cloud.
- Consulting experience is a plus.
- Experience presenting ideas, papers, or patents.
- Certifications in Microsoft Azure and other cloud providers like AWS or Google Cloud.
