Business Continuity / Disaster Recovery Consultant (Information Risk Management)Contract opportunity in the insurance sector for a business continuity and operational resilience specialist. Support third-party vendor management, disaster recovery, and business risk frameworks in a hybrid role.

Gain exposure to strategic initiatives and innovative risk solutions in a dynamic environment.What is in it for you:• Salaried: $62-66 per hour.• Incorporated Business Rate: $75-79 per hour.• 6-month contract with the potential for permanent employment.• Full-time position: 37.50 hours per week.• Weekday schedule from 8 am to 4 pm or 9 am to 5 pm.• Hybrid work: in-office Tuesday to Thursday.• Opportunity to work in a dynamic and professional environment.• Join a passionate and inclusive team of professionals.Responsibilities:• Prepare and complete vendor exit and transition plans for critical third-party vendors.• Act as the contact for vendor reviews, contracts, and transition plan testing.• Lead the implementation and testing of exit and transition plans for third-party vendors.• Support operational and business resilience risk management frameworks and processes, including business impact analysis, recovery objectives, single point of failure reviews, and resilience operations testing.• Provide advice and support to business units, IT, and project teams on business continuity and disaster recovery requirements.• Identify and deploy innovative solutions to manage information risk related to new technologies and processes.• Contribute to standardization and digitization of resilience processes, collaborating with internal risk functions to provide a holistic view of information risk.• Share best practices and foster strong relationships across organizational levels.What you will need to succeed:• High school diploma required; post-secondary education an asset.• Professional certification in BCM (ABCP, CBCP, MBCI, MBCP) or working towards certification.• 3-5+ years of experience in disaster recovery, business resilience, information technology/systems, project management, or vendor management within a large, complex organization.• Strong personal computing skills, including Microsoft Office.• Familiarity with BCM planning tools or relational databases (e.g., Fusion Risk Management, Power BI).• Broad understanding of system technologies and business resilience/disaster recovery tools and techniques.• Knowledge of OSFI guidelines (B10 and E21).• Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to engage at all organizational levels.• Proven relationship-building, engagement, and influencing skills.Why Recruit Action?Recruit Action (agency permit: AP-2504511) provides recruitment services through quality support and a personalized approach to job seekers and businesses.
