Position Overview


We’re seeking a dynamic Business Development Representative to drive growth by identifying and qualifying prospects in the staffing, recruitment, and workforce management sectors. You’ll play a crucial role in expanding our customer base by connecting with staffing agencies, HR departments, and business leaders who can benefit from our comprehensive workforce compliance platform.

Key Responsibilities

Prospecting & Lead Generation


  • Research and identify potential clients in staffing agencies, recruitment firms, and companies with high-volume hiring needs
  • Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified prospects using CRM tools and sales intelligence platforms
  • Conduct outbound prospecting via cold calls, emails, LinkedIn outreach, and social selling
  • Qualify inbound leads and marketing-generated inquiries to determine fit and readiness

Relationship Building & Qualification

  • Engage with HR leaders, staffing agency owners, and compliance managers to understand their workforce challenges
  • Conduct discovery calls to identify pain points related to candidate verification, compliance tracking, and recruitment efficiency
  • Educate prospects on Verfi.ai’s value proposition and how our platform addresses workforce compliance and recruitment challenges
  • Schedule qualified meetings and product demonstrations for the sales team

Sales Support & Collaboration


  • Participate in trade shows, webinars, and industry events to generate leads and build brand awareness
  • Maintain accurate records of all prospect interactions and pipeline activity in CRM
  • Provide market feedback and insights to product and marketing teams

Required Qualifications


Experience & Skills

  • 3-5 years of B2B sales experience, preferably in SaaS, HR technology, or staffing/recruitment industry
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding lead generation and qualification targets
  • Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.) and sales engagement tools
  • Strong phone presence and excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to quickly understand and articulate complex technical solutions

Industry Knowledge (Preferred)

  • Familiarity with staffing industry challenges, compliance requirements, and recruitment processes
  • Understanding of HR technology landscape and workforce management solutions
  • Knowledge of employment law, worker verification, and compliance regulations
  • Experience selling to HR professionals, staffing agencies, or recruitment firms
