With more than 45 years in the industry, we are expanding our commercial team and seeking a driven Business Development Representative.</p><p>Job Overview<br />The Business Development Representative will focus on generating new business, expanding existing customer relationships, and supporting the full sales cycle using CRM-based tracking and reporting. This is a growth-focused role that requires disciplined pipeline management and consistent customer engagement.</p><p>Key Responsibilities</p><ul><li>Identify and pursue new business across energy, construction, industrial, manufacturing, modular building, and infrastructure sectors</li><li>Build strong client relationships through calls, meetings, site visits, and follow-up</li><li>Collaborate with dispatch, operations, and management to scope accurate transport solutions</li><li>Maintain all sales activity, leads, opportunities, and account notes in the CRM with high accuracy</li><li>Produce regular CRM-driven reports for leadership, including pipeline status, activity summaries, and forecast updates</li><li>Track customer trends, market opportunities, and competitor activity within the CRM</li><li>Support marketing initiatives, presentations, and onboarding of new customers</li><li>Attend trade shows, industry events, and networking functions to cultivate new leads</li></ul><p>Qualifications</p><ul><li>25 years of business development or sales experience (transportation, heavy haul, logistics, or industrial service sectors preferred)</li><li>Strong understanding of CRM platforms and disciplined pipeline management</li><li>Experience quoting transportation or project-based work is an asset</li><li>Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills</li><li>Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working independently</li><li>Valid Class 5 drivers license; clean abstract preferred</li></ul><p>What We Offer</p><ul><li>Competitive salary structure with performance incentives</li><li>Comprehensive benefits</li><li>Company vehicle or allowance (depending on structure)</li><li>Supportive operational team and established industry reputation</li><li>Opportunities for advancement as BDS continues to expand</li></ul><p>Job Types: Full-time, Permanent</p><p>Benefits:</p><p><br /></p><ul><li>Company car or vehicle allowance (dependent on structure)</li><li>Dental care</li><li>Extended health care</li><li>Vision care</li></ul><p><br /></p><p>Ability to commute/relocate:</p><p><br /></p><ul><li>Calgary, AB (T3E): reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)</li></ul><p><br /></p><p>Experience:</p><p><br /></p><ul><li>Business development: 2 years (required)</li></ul></p></p>
