The Role
As a Business Systems Analyst / Software Development Project Manager, you will be responsible for translating business requirements into actionable software development tasks and driving successful project execution from concept to release. This is a cross-functional role requiring a balance of analytical rigor, technical acumen, and strong project management skills.
Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather, document, and prioritize system requirements
- Analyze and improve existing workflows, systems, and data integrations
- Create detailed user stories, functional specifications, and process diagrams
- Identify gaps, risks, and dependencies early in the development lifecycle
Project Management
- Manage end-to-end software projects using Agile/Scrum or Kanban methodologies
- Participate in sprint planning, daily standups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
- Define clear milestones and deliverables with realistic timelines
- Maintain documentation, product backlog, and release planning schedules
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Liaise between product, design, engineering, QA, and customer success teams
- Translate business problems into scalable, tech-forward solutions
- Ensure development aligns with user needs and strategic goals
- Coordinate UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and feedback integration
What You Bring
- 3–5+ years in a combined Business Analyst / Project Manager or Product Owner role
- Proven experience working in a SaaS or software development environment
- Strong understanding of software architecture, APIs, databases, and integrations
- Proficiency with tools like Jira, Confluence, Figma, and Slack
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A proactive mindset, with the ability to manage ambiguity and drive clarity
- Familiarity with Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) and SDLC best practices
Bonus: Experience with CRM, data analytics platforms, or low-code systems
