The hours of work can include a variety of hours such as overnights, days, nights, evenings, weekends, and holidays to service clients in the Ottawa area.</p><p>As a Home Instead CAREGiver, you will receive:</p><ul><li>Job Training - Initial and ongoing training is provided, including specialized training opportunities</li><li>Work Close to Home - Serve seniors in your community</li><li>Social Environment - CAREGiving gives you the opportunity to meet new people and develop meaningful relationships</li><li>Personal Satisfaction - Your job will make a difference in someone's life</li><li>Growth Opportunities – Grow your CAREGiving career in many avenues such as dementia and Alzheimer's training.</li></ul><p>Essential Job Functions:</p><ul><li>Providing 1:1 care assistance to each client individually or in a team setting with another CAREGiver</li><li>Assist in 2-person transfers using mechanical lifts or 1-person assists</li><li>Provide medication reminders</li><li>Support clients in completing all Activities of Daily Living such as toileting, bathing, dressing, feeding, and ambulation assistance</li><li>Assist in palliative support as needed</li><li>Expected to maintain communication regarding all client care needs and changes and make appropriate reports</li><li>May be required to assist in Instrumental Activities of Daily Living such as laundry, changing linens, warming up meals, etc.</li></ul><p>Requirements of the Position:</p><ul><li>Experience with 2-person transfers asset - training will be provided</li><li>Experience changing with bed bound clients-training will be provided</li><li>Experience with all forms of personal care training will be provided</li><li>Must be able to provide availability that will allow an ongoing commitment</li></ul><p><em>PLEASE NOTE</em></p><p><em>Home Instead requires proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 from all employees, with the exception of those who require accommodation under applicable human rights legislation.</em></p><h2>INDO</h2><br><p>Job Type: Casual</p><p>Pay: $18.00-$19.50 per hour</p><p>Benefits:</p><ul><li>Dental care</li><li>Vision care</li></ul><p>Application question(s):</p><ul><li>Do you have a PSW certification?</li><li>What languages do you speak?</li><li>Are you legally allowed to work in Canada?</li></ul><p>Location:</p><ul><li>Ottawa, ON (preferred)</li></ul><p>Work Location: In person</p>
