Salary: $20 - $25/ hour

Founded in 1988 the Degagne Group is a long standing family owned group of companies located in Corbeil, serving the Nipissing district. The group specializes in custom home building, home renovations and community development.

The Degagne Group is looking for a Carpenter to join the team. As a Carpenter you will be working as part of a team to bring a custom home or renovation to completion.

Responsibilities:

• Follow the established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean environment.
• Familiar with the operation of hand and power tools including, but not limited to; hammers ,drills, chainsaws, skill saws, jackhammers, etc.
• Knowledgeable in the installation of windows, doors, roof trusses, sheathing, hardware, etc.
• Have experience in the framing of walls and floors.
• Erect scaffolding and ladders.
• Able to work with little to no supervision.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
• The ability to read building plans is an asset.

Qualifications, skills and knowledge:

• Applicant should have at least 3 years of carpentry experience.
• Proven experience in residential remodeling or custom home construction.
• Sound knowledge of safety standards and procedures.
• The position requires the ability and willingness to work in a team and a willingness to interact with other employees and clients.
• Strong communication skills are vital.
• Valid drivers license
