Our shops keep our fleet moving safely and efficiently, and we’re looking to support the next generation of mechanics.</p><p>We are currently seeking <strong>Truck & Trailer Mechanic Co-op Students</strong> to join our team in <strong>North York, ON</strong>.</p><hr /><strong>Why Complete Your Co-op with Seaboard</strong><p>You will gain real, hands-on experience working alongside experienced Red Seal and Apprentice Mechanics:</p><ul><li><p>Paid co-op placement</p></li><li><p>Hands-on learning with modern equipment and diagnostics</p></li><li><p>Mentorship from experienced licensed technicians</p></li><li><p>Tool and boot allowance</p></li><li><p>Provided coveralls</p></li><li><p>Safe, supportive, team-focused shop environment</p></li><li><p>Opportunity to continue as an apprentice after co-op</p></li></ul><hr /><strong>What You Will Do</strong><p>Under the guidance of licensed technicians, you will:</p><ul><li><p>Assist with maintenance and repair of trucks and trailers</p></li><li><p>Support preventative maintenance tasks and annual inspections</p></li><li><p>Learn how to diagnose mechanical and electrical issues</p></li><li><p>Maintain accurate electronic work orders and shop housekeeping</p></li><li><p>Participate in shop safety practices and meetings</p></li></ul><hr /><strong>What You Bring</strong><ul><li><p>Currently enrolled in a <strong>Truck & Coach Technician (310T)</strong> or <strong>Truck-Trailer Service Technician (310J)</strong> program</p></li><li><p>Strong mechanical interest and willingness to learn</p></li><li><p>Positive attitude, reliability, and teamwork mindset</p></li><li><p>Basic computer skills and familiarity with tools/equipment is an asset</p></li></ul><hr /><strong>Work Schedule</strong><p>We will align hours with your program’s co-op placement requirements.</p><hr /><strong>How to Apply</strong><p>Submit your resume directly through this ad.
