We provide competitive compensation packages, including salary and benefits, as well as opportunities for professional growth and development.</p><p>pH7 is seeking a skilled and adaptable intermediate<br>Chemical Project Engineer<br>to join our team.</p><p>As a Process Engineer with us, you will be a key player in delivering engineering projects internally. The projects will focus on improvement of existing processes or the introduction of new ones at scale. The role will involve<br>coordination with production stakeholders to implement design improvements<br>, as well as extensive collaboration with external vendors and contractors. Additionally, you will play a key role in process safety by facilitating risk assessments.</p><p>Responsibilities:</p><ul><li>Support capital projects through the entire project life cycle, starting from requirements gathering to detailed design and procurement.</li><li>Provide process engineering support for capital projects.</li><li>Participate in development of<br> process documentation, including PFDs, P&IDs, equipment list, preliminary equipment sizing,<br> specifications, data sheets, and design criteria</li><li>Serve as a point of contact for equipment vendors.</li><li>Manage vendor relationships including technical evaluation, specification development, and procurement coordination</li><li>Apply knowledge of process control systems and instrumentation in project design and implementation</li><li>Compile and interpret engineering data from various sources and integrate into the project design.</li><li>Integrate process safety into plant design and operation.</li><li>Project planning and coordination for small projects, as required.</li><li>Development of project scope, timeline/schedule and estimated budget for small projects. Managing scope, schedule and costs for these projects. Project coordination internally and externally with suppliers and contractors.</li><li>Serve as facilitator for process safety initiatives including risk assessments, audits and action tracking</li><li>Other engineering support as necessary.</li></ul><p>Qualifications:</p><ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering<br> from an accredited university</li><li>Registered or eligible for registration as a<br> P.Eng / EIT with EGBC</li><li>3 - 8 years of work experience<br> in engineering design for chemical processing plants</li><li>Strong technical aptitude, problem solving and analytical skills</li><li>Knowledge of relevant design codes and standards</li><li>Experience in Engineering Consulting companies a definite plus</li><li>Experience with process control and instrumentation design</li><li>Strong vendor management skills with attention to detail and professional communication</li><li>Meticulous approach to project documentation and time management</li><li>Excellent communication skills in English</li><li>Adaptability to fast paced environment with complex and changing priorities, and ability to manage priorities effectively</li><li>Ability to work full time at our locations in Burnaby, BC</li></ul><p>As a<br>Chemical Project Engineer<br>in our organization, you will play a crucial role in delivering innovative projects on time and on budget.
