<p>Thomas Circle of Care Inc. has an exciting opportunity for Child Care Worker at our Regina home. The incumbent will be responsible to ensure the home and the children receive proper care and attention and follow the plan set forth for the home to foster the holistic development of all children in the highest possible regard.</p>
<h3>Job Profile</h3>
<ul>
<li>Learn the case plan for the primary caregiver(s) and more specifically, the children.</li>
<li>Provide children with age-appropriate activities and programs.</li>
<li>Assist with preparing and serving nutritious meals and snacks for the children; ensures food handling and storage; follows appropriate safety guidelines.</li>
<li>Monitor behavioral issues and respond appropriately ensuring that children are safe.</li>
<li>Attend staff meetings and participate in safety-related initiatives.</li>
<li>Adhere to all internal policies and procedures.</li>
<li>Ensure the House Leader is kept apprised of all issues related to the childrens well-being and safety.</li>
<li>Complete ad hoc or regular reports (e.g. incident reports, daily log books).</li>
<li>Maintain confidentiality and privacy of child/family information.</li>
<li>Perform related duties as required.</li>

<h3>Qualifications / Certifications</h3>
<ul>
<li>Formal Education Post‑secondary education in a related field (e.g. Early Childhood Education or Social Work Diploma) is considered an asset.</li>
<li>CPR/First Aid is required.</li>
<li>Training in behavioral and crisis management is an asset.</li>
<li>All successful candidates must have a positive report from a criminal record check under the vulnerable sector.</li>
<li>Possession of a Class 5 driving licence will be an asset.</li>
<li>This position is to work in shifts which include weekend and night shifts.</li>
</ul>
<h3>Working Conditions</h3>
<p>Driving, sitting and standing for extended periods of time, climbing, lifting, pushing, pulling and actively engaging with children.</p></p>
