We are a Drug Preparation Premises in Mississauga/Oakville, ON providing hospitals, clinics, and physicians offices with sterile compounded preparations. Our facility employs a variety of experts including trained pharmacists, technicians, chemists, and microbiologists.
We currently have multiple Full-Time Permanent opportunities for a Cleanroom Production Technicians.
Summary of Duties:
- Responsibilities include tasks such as sterile product preparation: bulk IV admixtures, syringes and and bags utilizing aseptic technique
- Performing the necessary mathematical calculations and preparing compounded products, operating specialized equipment used in drug preparation and packaging, accurate and detailed record keeping
- Other Technician duties include: ordering and receiving of drugs and supplies, and lab support functions (picking/staging orders, visual inspection, completing batch record documentation)
Qualifications:
- Experience or aptitude in aseptic medication preparation
- Preferred: BSc in Science related fields
- Alternate Preferred: current licensure by the Ontario College of Pharmacists as a Regulated Pharmacy Technician, a graduate of a CCAPP Accredited Pharmacy Technician Education program leading to licensure as a Regulated Pharmacy Technician, or nearing completion of the process and exams to become a licensed and Regulated Pharmacy Technician.
- Able to work in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment
- Excellent organizational skills, ability to multi-task including helping finish work tasks when the primary task has been completed.
- Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment and create a positive working atmosphere
- Detail-oriented
- Self-motivated and able to take initiative
- Reliable Shifts: Monday to Saturday, 8-hour shift times begin between 6am and 6pm
- Status: Permanent residents and Canadian citizens only at this time
