Responsibilities:


  • Manage files from initial demand to judgment and enforcement.
  • Draft pleadings, notices of default, statements of claim, default judgments, writs of seizure and sale, and other court documentation.
  • Coordinate and communicate with lenders, clients, opposing counsel, and court staff.
  • Prepare and manage documentation for power of sale proceedings and foreclosure actions.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date file records and timelines.
  • Monitor deadlines and limitation periods using legal software tools.


Qualifications:

  • Law Clerk diploma or equivalent education.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Law Clerk in Litigation.
  • Strong working knowledge of court rules, processes, and enforcement procedures in Ontario.
  • Proficiency with legal document management systems (e.g., Teraview, PC Law, Conveyancer, or similar).
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
