<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p>Salary: As Per the Collective Agreement<br /><p>Working with the Mechanical Team, the Plumber Pipefitter performs a variety of work related to boiler rooms, chillers, cooling towers, pumps, drainage systems and valves related to commercial office towers and residential condominiums. This is a Union Position and hiring and compensation is as per the Collective Agreement.</p><p><br><br></p><p>Job Duties include but are not limited to:</p><p> Assist in the construction of HVAC systems by installing pipes</p><p> Measure, layout, cut, thread, and weld pipe for mechanical installations according to specifications</p><p> Weld, braze, solder, and thread joints to join pipes and fabricate sections of the piping system</p><p> Use testing equipment to check systems for leaks</p><p> Install supports, valves, piping, and control systems</p><p> Install pipes, gutters, drainage systems, sinks, toilets, and heating and cooling systems</p><p> Fix leaks, tears, blockages, corrosion, weather damage, and other damage to water and HVAC systems</p><p> Perform inspections and trouble shooting</p><p><br /></p><p>Qualifications and Experience:</p><p> High School Diploma or GED or equivalent</p><p> Certificate of Qualification (Ontario 307A Steamfitter and/or Plumber 306A) as recognized by the Ontario College of Trades is required</p><p> 2+ years of related experience in installation, maintenance and repairs of pipes, drains and welding etc.</p><p> Completion of Ozone Depletion Prevention (ODP) certificate</p><p> Familiarity with HVAC systems installation</p><p> Backflow Certification is an asset</p><p><br /></p><p>Working Conditions:</p><p>The Plumber Pipefitter will be required to:</p><p> Work both inside and outside of buildings</p><p> Work in confined spaces and potentially noisy conditions</p><p> Climb stairs, ladders and scaffolds</p><p> Bend, stoop, push, pull, reach and kneel</p><p> Lift up to 50 pounds</p><p> Stand or walk for long periods of time</p><p> Wear and always utilize required safety equipment as required by policy and or legislation</p></p></p>Create Your Resume First
