Controls Tester
Client: Big 5 Bank
Location: Downtown Toronto. Hybrid: 2 days in office per week
Duration of Contract/Perm: 6 months contract with potential for extension.
Hours/week: 37.5 hrs/wk. 9-5 PM, M-F
Start date: June 2025
Overview:
We are hiring a Senior Control Tester with deep expertise in finance, audit, and risk. This role will focus on executing control testing programs and supporting the broader risk and governance framework.
Key Responsibilities:
· Conduct control testing across finance functions to ensure compliance with internal and external standards.
· Identify control weaknesses and recommend remediation strategies.
· Support internal audit and compliance reviews.
· Document testing results and prepare reports for executive and regulatory review.
· Collaborate with business units to enhance control effectiveness and risk mitigation.
Qualifications:
· Strong background in audit, risk, and control testing within financial services.
· Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and operational risk management.
· Excellent analytical and documentation skills.
· Ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders.
