Job Summary:
This position is within the Americas Operations Project and Program Management team, supporting the IBX Operations organization. The Project & Program Manager role is critical for executing engineering-related projects and requires demonstrated expertise in engineering principles and project management.
Minimum Requirements:
- Proven experience in engineering: minimum of 5 years in an engineering role.
- Project management experience: leading engineering projects from start to finish.
- Technical expertise: familiarity with precision cooling systems, UPS, electrical distribution, and building monitoring systems.
- Critical thinking: strong analytical skills for problem-solving within engineering projects.
Responsibilities:
- Lead medium to large-scale engineering projects.
- Manage all project cycle phases: initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
- Establish project review meetings and communication plans for transparency and alignment.
Additional Responsibilities include:
- Develop comprehensive project schedules and track progress.
- Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Manage stakeholder relationships and expectations.
- Communicate project updates effectively.
- Apply risk management approaches at various levels.
- Mentor team members in project management practices.
- Monitor budgets and resource utilization, resolving conflicts and issues independently.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
- Experience in engineering project management, especially in critical facilities or data centers.
- Proficiency in planning tools like Smartsheet and MS Office.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Project Management certification is a plus.
- Bi-lingual Spanish/English skills are a plus.
