About the Opportunity:


  • Join Capital Markets Team as a Data Governance and Data Quality Analyst, where you will play a pivotal role in establishing and managing Data Quality (DQ) rules and supporting the adoption of Data Governance principles.
  • As part of a dynamic, fast-paced team, you will tackle complex data challenges, collaborate with business stakeholders to capture and prioritize DQ requirements, and drive data integrity across Capital Markets initiatives.
  • This role offers the opportunity to work on bank-wide data projects, engage with diverse departments, and contribute to the success of regulatory and business programs by ensuring high-quality, reliable data.

What You Will Do:

  • Identify and collect data sources using specialized tools, inputting them into the organization’s information systems with clear documentation.
  • Ensure data accuracy through validation, cleaning, and quality assurance processes to maintain data integrity.
  • Create data flow diagrams and document processes for company databases.
  • Provide Business-as-Usual (BAU) support for Data Governance and DQ tools, including Information Governance Catalogue, Information Analyzer, IMAM, and BPM.
  • Document and manage Data Quality rules and generate reports to track progress and metrics.
  • Collaborate with business users to capture and prioritize requirements, ensuring alignment with enterprise CDO strategy and application roadmaps.
  • Support Capital Markets business lines and regulatory programs by promoting the use of the enterprise Business Glossary platform and Data Governance principles.
  • Conduct data analysis to identify and document business rules, data needs, and specifications for applications and projects.
  • Promote the Capital Markets Data Quality Center of Excellence process across teams.
  • Facilitate root cause analysis of data quality issues in collaboration with Stewardship and IT teams.
  • Work with internal and external IT partners during system upgrades or technology enhancements.
  • Support Risk, Audit, Compliance, and Regulatory requests, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Deliver data management and governance reporting to provide visibility into progress and value.
  • Research new functionality within existing tools to plan for future enhancements.

What You Need to Succeed: Must-Have:


  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in the financial services industry.
  • Strong knowledge of Data Quality processes and the data lifecycle, with a focus on Data Governance.
  • Experience implementing and supporting Data Quality analysis and reporting.
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.


Nice-to-Have:

  • Working knowledge of Information Governance Catalog, Information Analyzer, DataStage, and Quality Stage.
  • Experience with Tableau or other BI tools.
  • Quality Assurance (QA) experience.
  • Familiarity with regulatory initiatives such as Basel II, Basel III, Dodd-Frank, FBO, or Volcker.
  • Experience with business analysis tools, including data flow diagrams, relationship data models, and business process modeling.
