Main Interfaces


As a key member of the Demand Planning team and reporting to the Senior Customer Collaboration Manager, the Demand Planner will contribute to the consensus demand forecast through collaboration with Sales, Finance, Marketing, and Supply Planning. They will prepare inputs and reporting for monthly regional demand review meetings and support the development of Executive S&OP presentation materials, with the ability to present when required.


Purpose Statement


The Demand Planner will be responsible for developing and maintaining a comprehensive, assumption-based demand plan that leverages historical data, market trends, and consumer behaviour to accurately project brewery shipments and revenue for Asahi Canada.


This role requires a collaborative team player who can effectively foster cross-functional partnerships, with a keen focus on enhancing forecast accuracy and maintaining optimal inventory levels to support the business in achieving its annual volume targets.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop insight-driven demand forecasts across multiple horizons, including 13-week operational, 18-month rolling, and 5-year strategic plans.
  • Leverage advanced techniques such as statistical modeling, historical data analysis, and product segmentation to improve forecast accuracy.
  • Support the evolution of the S&OP process by improving existing routines, reporting, data quality, and alignment across functions.
  • Prepare inputs and reporting materials to enable effective, collaborative discussions during monthly Demand Review meetings.
  • Track and analyze actual orders versus forecast (In-Month Call), investigate variances, and identify root causes and potential impacts on supply planning.
  • Deliver timely volume performance updates and insights to Commercial, Finance, and Senior Leadership teams.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to evaluate SKU performance and support strategic decisions on portfolio rationalization.


Skills and Qualifications:

Experience: 3+ years' related experience in Supply Chain or Sales Planning is required, and preferably within the CPG industry.

Technically Strong: Solid understanding of Excel, Access, PowerPoint, SAP/ERP and PowerBI systems.

Language skills: Fluent in English
