A leading and rapidly expanding real estate developer is seeking a Development Manager to join their high-performing team in Toronto. Key Responsibilities


Project Management


  • Lead the development process from acquisition through to construction handover for low-rise, mid-rise, and high-rise residential projects.
  • Oversee planning applications, site plan approvals, subdivision agreements, and building permits.
  • Coordinate internal stakeholders (construction, finance, marketing, legal) and external consultants (planners, engineers, architects).
  • Maintain project timelines, track deliverables, and ensure on-budget execution.

Municipal Approvals & Liaison


  • Engage with City of Toronto departments, regional municipalities, utility companies, and political stakeholders.
  • Lead public consultations and manage community outreach and presentation materials.
  • Navigate approval processes at all stages including rezoning, minor variances, and development charges.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Required Experience:

  • 5+ years of residential real estate development experience in the GTA.
  • Strong understanding of Ontario planning processes, land use policy, and municipal approval cycles.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing mid- to high-rise developments, preferably in urban infill settings.
  • Skilled in consultant management, regulatory negotiation, and interdepartmental coordination.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in Urban Planning, Engineering, Real Estate, Architecture, or a related discipline.
  • Experience with OLT processes and development agreements in Toronto.
  • Proficiency with MS Project, Excel, Bluebeam, or similar project management tools.
