ModiFace’s patented technology is based on more than a decade of advanced facial recognition research at the University of Toronto and in collaboration with L’Oreal’s Global Research and Innovation teams. Our product offerings include live 3D makeup and skin care simulation, anti-aging/skin-care diagnostics, and live hair colour simulation.

What You’ll Do

  • Work closely with developers and the DevOps team to oversee deployments and code releases
  • Maintain, own, and improve the build and deploy pipeline
  • Administration and automation of the AWS and GCP infrastructure and environments
  • Continuously improve the tooling, applications and environments
  • Collaborate with developers to bring new features and services into production
  • Understand the requirement of new feature request from other teams from the Toronto Factory, the Lab, the Paris teams and cybersecurity stakeholders, providing feedback from the DevOps team’s perspective and work on the implementation
  • Develop and improve operational practices and procedures
  • Investigate and adopt new technologies when appropriate
  • Provide guidance to the junior team members
  • Automate (almost) everything!

What You’ll Need


  • Bachelor’s degree in software engineering or related technical fields
  • 3+ years of experience in administering GCP or AWS
  • Very good understanding of DevOps concepts, techniques, tools and culture
  • Expert in UNIX/Linux operating system
  • Experience working with Infrastructure as Code to manage and provision infrastructure
  • Experience working on CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins, GCP Cloud Build, and etc.
  • Prior experience working closely with or being embedded with development teams
  • Exposure to Zabbix, Nagios, Newrelic, ELK, Crucible/Phabricator, Sonarqube
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies and DevOps practices
  • Enjoy collaborating, learning from your colleagues, and teaching others
  • Scripting languages such as Bash or Python
  • Experience working on AI tools such as Copilot, Cursor and etc.

Please note that this is a hybrid position, which requires working on-site at our downtown Toronto office two days per week.
