Position Overview

We are hiring a Director of Operations to architect and manage the systems that power Intrepid Labs’ growth. This strategic role is critical to translating innovation at the bench and in the cloud into operational excellence. You will lead cross-functional execution, resource optimization, and internal coordination, ensuring that people, platforms, and projects are aligned with company priorities.



As we scale our AI-driven R&D engine and expand our external partnerships, the Director of Operations will be a force multiplier. You will enable high-velocity decision-making, remove friction from complex workflows, and design scalable processes to support a next-generation biotech company.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Operations and Infrastructure


  • Implement operational frameworks that support growth, agility, and scientific throughput.
  • Oversee implementation of OKR systems, internal dashboards, and performance tracking to align execution with strategy.
  • Translate leadership priorities into action plans, timelines, and measurable outcomes

Project Leadership and Cross-Functional Execution


  • Drive complex, cross-disciplinary initiatives across formulation, engineering and business development teams.
  • Establish internal project management infrastructure including tools, cadence, and governance to accelerate delivery and resolve interdependencies.
  • Monitor project portfolio health and surface risks or bottlenecks before they impact execution.

Resource Planning and Operational Scalability


  • Partner with science and engineering leads to plan team bandwidth and proactively adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Support long-range planning and scenario modeling for organizational growth.

Space Management and Infrastructure Planning


  • Own lab and office footprint strategy to support platform operations and partner programs.
  • Plan and manage space expansion and vendor relationships related to infrastructure and facilities.

Governance, Communication, and Coordination


  • Coordinate leadership team operations including key meetings, planning cycles, and investor or board updates.
  • Maintain operational clarity across teams through structured reporting, shared calendars, and milestone reviews.
  • Support internal communications that reinforce transparency, trust, and alignment.


Qualifications

  • Exceptional communication and proven track record in project management required.
  • 3-7 years of experience in similar roles in biotech, pharma, etc.
  • Highly collaborative and proactive, with the ability to manage multiple inputs and stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail and comfort working under tight timelines.
  • An advanced degree in life sciences (PhD, PharmD, or MBA) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with drug development, formulation science, or data-driven R&D platforms is a plus.
