We are presently recruiting for a full-time Director of Warehouse Operations.
Our Director of Warehouse Operations will be responsible for overseeing the strategic planning and day-to-day operations of our warehouse and distribution centers. This leader will manage a team across multiple facilities, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure high standards of productivity, accuracy, and safety.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead all aspects of warehouse operations, across several facilities, including receiving, storage, inventory management, order fulfillment, and shipping.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and meet KPIs.
- Oversee staffing, training, and development of warehouse associates to build a high-performing team.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, regulatory, and company policies.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with logistics, procurement, customer service, and IT to support business objectives.
- Identify and implement new technologies or systems to enhance warehouse productivity and visibility.
- Monitor performance metrics and generate reports for executive leadership.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- 8+ years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven track record of managing multi-site warehouse or distribution operations.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory control, and Lean / Six Sigma practices.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Other Skills
- 3-5 years experience in an Unionized environment
- Strong financial acumen, including an expert understanding of cost levers, continuous improvement productivity drivers, and LEAN concepts
- Excellent leadership and coaching skills.
