Job Description:
CUSTOMER
Lead in aligning stakeholders on architecture and infrastructure strategies, engaging with the Executive Product Owner.
Prioritize architecture backlog and advise on business/technology trade-offs.
Oversee product delivery portfolios and review blueprints against enterprise standards.
Recommend emerging IT trends and lead related projects, providing insights to leadership.
Collaborate with marketing, engineering, and other teams to ensure product features meet requirements.
Potentially oversee a small team, coaching and building practice capabilities.
Guide architecture testing and production deployment, ensuring solutions align with enterprise policies.
Design and oversee complex, high-impact technology projects, focusing on continual upgrades and practical implementation.
SHAREHOLDER
Set service-level objectives and exercise decision rights for architecture standards.
Focus on system reliability, scalability, and operational standards.
Develop observability standards and oversee compliance with governance and risk controls.
Monitor project status, ensuring adherence to architecture standards and standards compliance.
Identify industry trends and recommend architectural improvements to reduce technical debt.
Map processes to bridge business problems with technological solutions.
Maintain change control and collaborate across practices to share knowledge and manage risks.
EMPLOYEE / TEAM
Participate actively in team activities, promote a positive environment, and support knowledge sharing.
Provide thought leadership and industry insights, supporting team development.
Stay current with emerging trends and technologies.
Engage in performance management, mentorship, and cross-training.
Lead and motivate internal and external stakeholder relationships.
BREADTH & DEPTH
Meet advanced technical and organizational criteria, including strategic decision-making, portfolio management, and collaboration frameworks, typically reporting to senior leadership.
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
Undergraduate degree or technical certificate (Graduate degree preferred).
10-15+ years of relevant experience across platforms.
Deep knowledge of Azure, Azure Data Services, and Databricks.
Understanding of data management principles, strong team management, and communication skills.
Experience with CI/CD, TDD, and complex tool integrations.
