<p>POSITION: District Itinerant Music Teacher<br/>ASSIGNMENT: Music - Elementary (K-7)<br/>FTE: 1.0<br/>LOCATION: District Administration Office<br/>EFFECTIVE DATES: Commencing September 1, 2025, and continuing<br/>Basic Qualifications: The successful candidate will hold a valid BC Teaching Certificate and be a member in good standing in the BC Ministry of Education Teacher Regulation Branch AND possesses one or more of the following:<br/>Training Specifications: Elementary Education with major/minor in music<br/>Related Teaching Experience: Recent successful experience as an Elementary Music Teacher<br/>A Reasonable Expectation: based on a teacher's skills, abilities, professional development and overall classroom teaching experience, that the teacher will be able to perform the duties in a successful manner in collaboration with other professional staff<br/>Additional Qualifications:<br/>-Training/skill in the Kodaly method and/or the Orff approach to music instruction<br/>-Strong singing skills<br/>Other: Own transportation for travel between schools is necessary - mileage reimbursed as per the CA<br/>The starting annual salary for the full-time Teacher ranges from $61,175 to $109,520 with placement on the range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement.
