The Driver Education department is currently accepting applications for part-time contracted driving instructor positions for the Driver Z program. As a Driver Z Instructor, you will deliver the Driver Z program to high school students in your area. Classroom and/or in-car instructor opportunities may be available, dependent upon location.</p><br><br><h2><br><br>Responsibilities<br><br></h2><ul><li>Schedule and deliver weekly instruction in the classroom and/or in-car.</li><li>Establish an open and creative learning environment.</li><li>Facilitate discussions and coach students on program material.</li><li>Use Driver Education software to:</li><ul><li>Monitor and support student progress.</li><li>Enter data and comments.</li><li>Administer, review and grade assignments and/or assessments.</li><li>Administer written tests and vision screening, if required.</li></ul><li>Work collaboratively with the Driver Education team and Driver Z participants.</li><li>Possess a laptop and/or mobile device with access to the internet.</li><li>Maintain a driver training vehicle, if required.</li></ul><br><br><h2><br><br>Qualifications<br><br></h2><ul><li>Be a resident of Manitoba.</li><li>High school diploma or equivalent.</li><li>Three years of experience with a valid full stage Class 5 or equivalent driver's licence, issued within Canada or the United States.</li><li>Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.</li><li>Ability to prioritize workload and manage schedules independently.</li><li>Comfortable with daily use of technology, such as emails and online applications.</li><li>Experience facilitating training/workshops in large group settings is preferred.</li><li>Experience teaching or coaching youth is preferred.</li><li>Professional driving experience is an asset.</li></ul><p>Conditions of Employment</p><ul><li>Provide a satisfactory Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search and Child Abuse Registry Check as part of the recruitment process.</li><li>Hold a valid Manitoba Class 5F driver's licence in good standing.</li><li>Maintain a valid Manitoba Class 5 Driving Instructor permit or,</li><li>Qualify for and complete the Manitoba Driving Instructor Training course for class 5 vehicles.</li><li>Maintain a valid Driver Training School and Training Vehicle permit, if required.</li><li>Must be able to work shift work (evenings, and weekends).</li></ul><p>For permit requirement information, please review the following documents:</p><ul><li>Driving Instructor Permit Requirements </li><li>Driver Training School Permit Requirements </li><li>Training Vehicle Permit Requirements<br><br></li></ul><p>Current Location and Position Opportunities:</p><p>#LI-DNP</p><br><br><h2><br><br>Employee Benefits<br><br></h2><br><br><p>#LI-DNI</p><br>Create Your Resume First
