Our client, a leading national multi-discipline engineering firm, is seeking an experienced and passionate Electrical Designer to join their dynamic Building Services team. This is a hybrid role offering flexibility, career growth, and the opportunity to work on high-impact projects across Canada.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop electrical systems for commercial, institutional, and industrial buildings.
- Prepare detailed electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications using AutoCAD and Revit.
- Collaborate with mechanical, structural, and architectural teams to ensure integrated design solutions.
- Perform load calculations, lighting layouts, power distribution, and fire alarm system design.
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements.
- Participate in site visits, inspections, and coordination meetings as needed.
- Support project delivery from concept through construction administration.
Must-Have Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in electrical building services design.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit; knowledge of electrical design software (e.g., ETAP, SKM) is an asset.
- Strong understanding of Canadian Electrical Code and relevant building codes.
- Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently in a hybrid environment and manage multiple priorities.
