Our Environmental Team continues to deliver exciting projects, and we are looking to add a motivated individual who is eager to build their career and gain hands-on field experience as part of a supportive and collaborative team.
We currently have an opportunity for an Environmental Technician/Technologist to join our Environmental Team in either our Fredericton, Saint John, or Moncton, New Brunswick offices!
The ideal candidate would have expertise and experience in one or more of the following areas:phased environmental site assessments, hazardous materials surveys and remediation/monitoring.If you are looking to work on exciting projects in a positive, motivating, friendly and respectful work environment while contributing to meaningful projects that support healthier communities then our Team is the right fit for you.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments;
- Subsurface investigations including test pitting and borehole drilling;
- Describing soil and bedrock samples using Standard Classification Systems;
- Monitoring well installation;
- Soil, groundwater, sediment, surface water and soil vapour sampling;
- Site remediation monitoring;
- Hazardous materials assessments and sampling; and
- If interested, project experience may also be gained in our Environmental Sciences Group related to wetlands, watercourses, fish & fish habitat, terrestrial species, vegetation, avian, bats and species at risk.
Your Credentials and Capabilities:
- Diploma in Environmental Technology/Sciences (or equivalent);
- 3+ years experience in environmental consulting or relevant environmental industry;
- Possess above average written and oral communication skills;
- Have the ability to work well in a team environment;
- Be well organized with the ability to work independently and handle complex situations;
- Experience preparing technical reports that summarize methods, results, conclusions, and recommendations would be considered an asset;
- A valid driver's license and willingness to trave to job sites; and
- Strong advocate for occupational health and safety.
