<p>Job Description:</p><p>We are seeking a skilled ETL Tester with substantial hands-on experience in advanced SQL and Python. This role is open to candidates with either a Quality Assurance (QA) or Developer background, provided you can demonstrate core expertise in complex SQL operations on ETL platforms.</p><p>Key Responsibilities:</p><ul><li>Design, develop, and execute comprehensive ETL test cases and scenarios</li><li>Write and optimize advanced SQL queries for data validation, transformation, and troubleshooting</li><li>Collaborate with development teams to understand business and data transformation requirements</li><li>Validate large volumes of data across multiple sources and targets using advanced SQL</li><li>Develop automation scripts in Python for ETL testing and process streamlining</li><li>Analyze, report, and track defects; recommend solutions</li><li>Participate in Agile/Scrum processes and provide expertise throughout the test life cycle</li></ul><p>Required Skills & Qualifications:</p><ul><li>7+ years of hands-on experience in ETL testing or related roles</li><li>Strong command of advanced SQL (complex joins, window functions, query optimization, data analysis)</li><li>Proficiency in Python for scripting and automation</li><li>Experience with ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, DataStage, SSIS) is a plus</li><li>QA professionals or Data/ETL developers with hardcore SQL expertise are welcome</li><li>Ability to troubleshoot, analyze, and validate large datasets</li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills</li><li>Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field</li></ul><p>Must have:</p><ul><li>7+ years of Testing experience</li><li>Good background in ETL Testing</li><li>Good background in SQL / Db testing</li><li>Experienced with AWS services required are S3, Glue, Cloudwatch, Airflow and Athena</li></ul><p>Mode: Hybrid (2–3 days/week in office, Downtown Toronto; rest WFH</p><p>Job Types: Full-time, Permanent</p><p>Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour</p><p>Application question(s):</p><ul><li>How many years of hands-on experience do you have in ETL testing or related data validation roles?</li><li>How would you rate your proficiency in advanced SQL (e.g., complex joins, window functions, query optimization)</li><li>Do you have hands-on experience writing Python scripts for automation or data validation?</li><li>Have you worked with any ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, SSIS, DataStage)?</li><li>Have you validated large datasets across multiple sources (e.g., multiple schemas, files, or database types)?</li><li>Are you comfortable working in a hybrid model (2–3 days per week onsite in Downtown Toronto)?</li><li>Do you have valid authorization to work in Canada for this position?</li><li>How many years of experience with AWS services required are S3, Glue, Cloudwatch, Airflow and Athena?</li></ul>
