Our client is a Toronto-based not-for-profit organization dedicated to making a difference in the community. As they continue to grow and expand their outreach, they’re seeking a dynamic Event Sales Manager to lead event strategy, drive revenue through venue rentals and event packages, and create exceptional experiences. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who combines a passion for events with a strong commercial mindset.

The Job!


As the Event Sales Manager, you’ll take ownership of the organization’s venue rental and event programming with a focus on growth and client satisfaction. You will:


  • Develop and execute sales strategies that drive revenue through events and venue rentals
  • Manage bookings, track performance, and maintain organized venue schedules
  • Cultivate strong relationships with internal teams, corporate partners, and rental clients
  • Set pricing, create custom event packages, and handle quotes and proposals
  • Lead the planning and execution of events, from logistics to on-site coordination
  • Support junior team members and collaborate across departments to achieve targets
  • Manage contracts, invoices, and sales reports in coordination with Finance
  • Ensure all events meet health, safety, and accessibility standards
  • Participate in special projects and contribute to overall growth initiatives

What you bring to the job


You’re a driven event professional who thrives on building relationships, exceeding targets, and creating exceptional event experiences. You bring:

  • At least four (4) years of experience in event planning and venue sales or operations
  • Experience managing rentals, overseeing junior team members, and leading from the front
  • A sales mindset and a track record of growing revenue through events
  • A background in the not-for-profit sector is a strong asset
  • Familiarity with AV coordination and logistics is preferred
  • Excellent communication and client service skills
  • High-level administrative and organizational capabilities, including CRM and scheduling tools
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends when events are scheduled
