<p><h3>Overview</h3><p>Finance Assurance Consultant role at AECOM. We are a Fortune 500 company committed to delivering a better world and fostering equity, diversity, and inclusion.</p><h3>Job Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Finance system management, including SAP, analysing and monthly reporting. Creating and managing purchase orders, goods receipt processes, creating projects, budget maintenance, forecasting, vendor management, aged debt reporting and management, and invoice handling.</li><li>Evaluate cost data and structures against contractual/commercial principles.</li><li>Analyse cost data to identify patterns, themes, trends and risks.</li><li>Appraise cost capture and commercial management processes.</li><li>Conduct detailed cost verification, payroll audits, and data sampling.</li><li>Identify process improvement opportunities for cost controls and commercial governance.</li><li>Interface with project staff and finance teams to complete cost verification and obtain key documentation/data.</li><li>Manage stakeholders and their expectations through regular communications.</li><li>Support the production of close-out reports.</li><li>Present outputs and recommendations to clients and their supply chain.</li><li>Lead engagements when travelling to different sites/locations nationally and internationally.</li><li>Mentor junior staff and upskill internal and external stakeholders in cost and commercial assurance.</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>Demonstrable experience of delivering service excellence to clients.</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills.</li><li>Experience in delivering cost and commercial assurance/audit activities.</li><li>Competent in interpreting a range of contracts; experience with a schedule of cost components.</li><li>Ability to analyse high volumes of data, primarily Excel-driven, with experience across different cost systems.</li><li>Ability to extract and interrogate large data sets to support decision-making.</li><li>Strong report writing and presentation skills.</li><li>Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment; adaptable to challenges during delivery.</li><li>Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build client relationships.</li><li>Commitment to professional competence and building the company’s profile.</li><li>Experience working with clients directly or via colocations/secondments.</li><li>Desirable knowledge of NEC3/NEC4 contracts (PSC and ECC) and a relevant degree.</li><li>Professional memberships are an advantage but not essential.</li><li>Ability to obtain relevant security clearance is desirable.</li></ul><h3>Additional Information</h3><p>Hybrid work options available.
