Position function: Reporting to the Business Applications Manager of Caldic Canada Inc., the individual will work within the IT Business Applications Team with a focus on the finance business function. The individual would have the overall responsibility to understand the financial processes and functions within Caldic in technical detail in order to diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve end user support requests as well as design/propose software enhancements and process refinements.

Scope: The Financial Business Analyst’s role is to support Caldic’s Finance organization across North America during the D365 FO ERP implementation. The individual will work closely with Finance stakeholders to ensure functional alignment, provide hands-on support for testing and training activities, and help stabilize the system post go-live. This includes supporting core Finance modules and support other projects and duties as assigned by the Business Applications Manager.

This role must understand both the functional and technical aspects of D365 FO and Caldic’s financial processes. The individual will be responsible for identifying solutions, collaborating with business stakeholders, key users, developers, and vendors to streamline finance operations, resolve issues, and ensure business continuity.

Major tasks and duties:

  • Gather and document finance-specific requirements in support of the D365 FO ERP implementation.
  • Support the Finance team during D365 configuration, testing (SIT, UAT), and cutover preparation.
  • Lead and execute testing scenarios for core Finance modules including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and General Ledger (GL), Fixed Assets(FA).
  • Provide functional support and subject matter expertise on D365 Invoice Capture for AP automation.
  • Translate business needs into functional specifications and contribute to process design documentation.
  • Develop and execute test scripts, validate system outputs, and ensure finance data accuracy.
  • Coordinate and deliver training to Finance users, create supporting documentation and job aids.
  • Assist in identifying and implementing system improvements and process optimizations.
  • Work closely with technical teams and vendors to troubleshoot and resolve ERP issues.
  • Provide ongoing functional support to Finance users during and post-transition.
  • Liaise with internal resources and External Consultants and communicate appropriately to all involved parties .
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, GMP’s and HACCP requirements.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• 3-5 years of experience as a Financial Business Analyst

• Solid understanding of D365 Finance & Operations, particularly in AP, AR, FA and GL modules.


• Hands-on knowledge or strong familiarity with D365 Invoice Capture (AP Automation) is a key asset.

• Strong understanding of journal entries, financial postings, and transactional analysis.


• Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into ERP configurations.

• Experience in test planning, script writing, defect tracking, and user training.


• Familiarity with ERP transitions, ideally from AX 2012 to D365 FO.

• Strong documentation, problem-solving, and communication skills.


• Post-secondary degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Information Systems, or a related field.

• Experience working in cross-functional, global teams and supporting multi-location users.


• Full command of the English language (written and spoken).
