We operate with structure, strategy, and disciplined execution. We are seeking a<br>financial professional with 2–3 years of experience<br>to join our team as a Financial Operations Accountant. This is more than a data entry role; it is a strategic position where you will manage the financial engine of a fast-paced trading floor. We are looking for a<br>self-starter<br>with the<br>ability and desire to become our CFO.<br>We don't just need you to record history; we need you to help us analyze it. For the right candidate, this role offers a clear developmental pathway toward senior financial leadership.</p><p>Key Responsibilities</p><p>As a Financial Operations Accountant, you will:</p><ul><li>AP/AR Execution: Ensure timely payment of all mills and process supplier invoices. Manage customer receivables and collections to maintain current accounts.</li><li>Banking: Coordinate with financial institutions (including BMO and others) on daily banking operations as directed.</li><li>Cash Flow: Assist in monitoring internal cash flow for operational efficiency.</li><li>Assist in managing inventory positions, shipments, and logistics coordination.</li><li>Uphold all company standards for compliance, ethics, and confidentiality.</li><li>Reporting: Assist with financial reporting, specifically regarding aged inventory and trader commissions.</li><li>Tax & Filings: Help coordinate quarterly and annual tax filings with MNP (or other partners) and ensure compliance with federal, provincial, and state requirements.</li><li>Contract Administration: Maintain organized reload and carrier contracts and ensure timely carrier payments.</li><li>Team Support: Assist in the supervision of administrative staff and support hiring processes as the company grows.</li><li>Payroll: Administer payroll and ensure accurate, timely salary payments.</li></ul><p>Qualifications</p><ul><li>Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA designation or enrollment is an asset).</li><li>Experience: 2–3 years of accounting or controller experience.</li><li>Excellent analytical and numerical ability.</li><li>Trustworthy: You possess a high degree of professionalism and integrity.</li><li>Tech-Forward: You are proficient in QuickBooks and Advanced Excel (pivot tables, modeling) and comfortable using AI tools to streamline workflows.</li></ul><p>Work Hours & Environment</p><ul><li>Schedule: Ability to work the trading hours of 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM</li><li>Location: Based in Vancouver, BC (In-office)</li><li>On-site role with potential for remote flexibility upon management approval.</li></ul><p>Compensation & Growth</p><ul><li>Competitive salary, commensurate with experience.</li><li>Paid vacation and sick leave.</li><li>Full-time career development support and mentorship from experienced traders.</li><li>Extended health and dental benefits.</li></ul>Create Your Resume First
