GFL Environmental is seeking experienced Front End Truck Drivers to join our team based in Toronto, Ontario.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive commercial frontload or ancillary equipment along designated routes to collect solid waste and transport it to post-collection facilities.
- Open container enclosures or gates to access cans. Roll 3-4-yard cans on castors into position for dumping as needed.
- Perform daily pre- and post-trip inspections; complete and submit vehicle condition reports at the end of shifts.
- Interact courteously with customers and the public along routes; address questions or requests and notify supervisors of issues requiring management action.
- Maintain cleanliness of trucks and surrounding areas by cleaning loose trash during and after dumping processes.
- Maintain and submit logs, route/productivity sheets, and vehicle condition reports as required by law and company policy.
Requirements:
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
- At least six months of Front End truck driving experience.
- Ability to meet safety-sensitive criteria per company standards.
- Demonstrated ability to drive safely and operate truck equipment.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- AZ/DZ License.
- Experience with front-end trucks.
- Experience driving in urban environments.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
