We are looking for an experienced Full Stack Application Developer to support a high-impact modernization project on a short-term contract in Downtown Toronto.
Who You Are:
- A skilled full-stack developer with a passion for building seamless, high-performance web applications.
- Proficient in front-end development using Angular or Vue.js, and back-end development with .NET frameworks (C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core).
- Experienced in database design and development with MS SQL Server and comfortable working with APIs and version control (Git).
- A problem-solver who thrives in collaborative environments, translating business needs into technical solutions.
- Detail-oriented, with a strong commitment to writing clean, efficient, and testable code.
- Open to learning new technologies and adapting to evolving project needs
Work Type
- Hybrid (2-3 days per week required in the office)
- Office Location: Toronto, Ontario
- Contract Length: Contract goes until Oct 17, 2025, with the possibility of extension (must be incorporated)
Responsibilities:
- Engage in end-to-end development of web applications, from conceptualization to deployment
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Implement responsive and intuitive user interfaces using HTML, CSS, and Javascript frameworks (i.e., Angular, Vue.js)
- Ensure a seamless and engaging user experience across various devices and browsers
- Design and develop the back-end using technologies within the Microsoft technology stack, including .NET Core, C#, ASP.NET MVC, and Web API
- Write unit tests and automated tests to ensure high quality code
- Integrate front-end and back-end aspects of applications using Web APIs
- Ability to write technical documentation clearly and concisely
Skills and Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience in software development in a full stack capacity (exposure to both front-end and back-end development)
- Experienced with .NET framework, .NET Core, C#, ASP.NET on the backend
- Experienced with Angular, Vue.JS, HTML/CSS and Javascript on the frontend
- Experience with database design and development using MS SQL Server
- Exposure to MS Azure DevOps or equivalent (Jira, etc.)
- Experience with version control systems, such as GIT
- Nice-To-Have: Experience with ASPOSE.Words, Blazor, design pattern knowledge/experience
Nice-To-Have:
- Experience in Azure Cloud and Terraform
- Experience in container tool stack such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience in Desired State Configuration
- Experience in ELK stack or Splunk
- Experience in Web API and Microservices
Hourly Rate: $50.00 – 60.00/hour (must be incorporated)
