<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p>Paladin Security is Hiring a Senior Duty Security Officer!<p></p><p><strong>Location:</strong> Whitby, ON, CA<br /><strong>Schedule:</strong> Continental Rotation (0700–1900 / 1900–0700)<br /><strong>Pay Rate:</strong> $23.91 – $25.38/hour <em>(Based on Levelling System)</em><br /><strong>Employment Type:</strong> Full Time<br /><strong>Averaging Agreement:</strong> Overtime is Averaging Agreement (AA) after 88 hours<br /></p><strong>Overview</strong><p>As a <strong>Senior Duty Security Officer</strong> at Ontario Shores, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of patients, visitors, and staff. This position involves a combination of proactive patrols, emergency response, report writing, and coordination with site staff to maintain hospital safety standards. This role requires a high level of professionalism, customer service, and the ability to respond quickly in critical situations.</p><p></p><strong>Responsibilities</strong><ul><li> Work assigned 12-hour shifts providing proactive and reactive patrols and incident response. </li><li> Ensure all standing orders and daily scheduled activities are completed as required for each shift. </li><li> Enforce Paladin Security and hospital security policies and procedures. </li><li> Plan and implement shift work schedules. </li><li> Write detailed incident and occurrence reports. </li><li> Respond to coded emergencies efficiently and professionally. </li><li> Deliver excellent customer service to all individuals, including those under stress or in medical need. </li><li> Maintain strong situational awareness and physical readiness to stand or walk for extended periods. </li></ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul><li>Valid <strong>Security License</strong> for the province of Ontario </li><li> Valid <strong>First Aid & CPR – Level C</strong> (from a WSIB-approved vendor) </li><li><strong>COVID-19 Vaccine</strong> (two doses) </li><li><strong>Immunization records</strong> for Mumps, Measles, Rubella, Varicella, and two-step TB skin test </li><li><strong>N95 Mask Fit</strong> requirement </li><li><strong>English fluency</strong> (oral and written) is a must </li><li> Minimum <strong>one year of experience in a healthcare security role</strong></li><li> Certifications in <strong>Use of Force (UOF)</strong> and <strong>Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB)</strong> required (Applicants lacking these certifications may enroll in Paladin’s UOF/MOAB certification program prior to onboarding) Note: The UOF/MOAB certification training is unpaid but fully covered by Paladin, with a <strong>6-month commitment</strong> to the position </li><li> Legally authorized to work in Canada</li></ul><p><strong>Benefits</strong></p><ul><li>Paid Time Off </li><li>Health Care </li><li>Dental </li><li>Overtime Pay </li><li>On-the-Job Training </li><li>Growth Opportunities </li><li>Unionized Benefits (including Education Allowance & Pension Plan) </li><li>Free Uniforms </li><li>Annual Boot Allowance </li><li>Security License Reimbursement </li><li>Dry Cleaning & Tailoring Allowance </li><li>Work Today, Get Paid Today (Daily Pay Available)</li></ul></p></p>
