Our client, a global mining company located in the northwest part of Toronto, is on the hunt for a strategic and highly experienced Global Head of Supply Chain to join their senior leadership team.
This is a high-impact role for a senior supply chain professional who thrives in fast-paced, complex environments. With a mandate to lead and transform end-to-end supply chain operations, the successful candidate will play a critical role in enhancing efficiency, reducing costs, and driving long-term value across the organization.
Global Head of Supply Chain Responsibilities:
- Design and implement end-to-end supply chain strategies that support overall business goals for multiple international locations.
- Lead procurement, logistics, inventory/asset management, and fulfillment functions
- Build and manage strategic supplier relationships to increase resilience and agility
- Leverage analytics and forecasting tools to improve demand planning and inventory optimization
- Drive operational excellence through KPI tracking, performance management, and corrective action
- Champion cost reduction initiatives and lean process improvements
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, quality standards, and sustainability practices
- Provide data-driven insights and strategic recommendations to executive leadership
The successful candidate has:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field (MBA preferred)
- Ability to travel internationally for up to 20 weeks annually.
- Exposure to global supply chains and international logistics
- 10+ years’ progressive experience in supply chain management with leadership accountability
- Proficiency in ERP systems and supply chain software
- Strong financial and operational acumen with a track record of driving cost-efficiency
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience in a high-growth or fast-paced operational environment
- APICS, CSCP, CPSM, or equivalent certification
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and sustainability frameworks
Compensation and benefits:
- The discussed salary range is $200,000 – $220,000 per annum depending on experience
