Location: Hybrid | 4 days a week in the office | Downtown, Toronto Duration: 12 Months⏰ What are the hours of work? 9 am to 5 pm Daily Responsibilities Working with the Director, Sourcing Execution and the Manager, Sourcing Execution, this role will influence sourcing decisions, drive supplier consolidation, cost savings and cost avoidance efforts. This role will partner with senior management to proactively develop negotiation and contract strategies for high risk/complex and sensitive sourcing initiatives.
This role will gather and analyze data to create playbooks and strategies to support the different business models for services contemplated or currently under contract and prepare findings for senior management. This role will develop and negotiate complex (strategically critical, high value, or high risk) contract strategies that will provide cost effective, sustainable solutions to Client’s businesses, and optimize total value generated from Client’s supplier base.
Technology & Tools Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint – Used for Contract Creation and Review, Pricing Analyses, RFx Analyses, Executive Reviews, etc. Ivalua would be a nice to have.✅ Must-have Skills/Experience and/or Education7–10 years experienceExperience in global procurement, sourcing, and relationship managementUnderstanding of procurement law and/or regulationsLeads complex deals with a total contract value of $3 million or moreBusiness and financial acumenStrong negotiation skillsStrong contract acumenStrong analytical skillsExperience in leading and supporting stakeholder interactions/relationshipsAchieving financial targets (individual targets of $5MM savings, and team targets of $25MM)Ability to impact and influenceService-oriented focus (building partnerships)Business and financial insightStrong communication skills (verbal and written)Strong supplier management skillsPost-secondary education in Finance, related purchasing field, or procurement designation✨ Nice-to-have Skills/Experience Team player, must be willing to support varying workloads and capable of multitasking when required
