The Company
Our client is a high-growth global infrastructure powerhouse, delivering large-scale digital capacity to some of the world’s most advanced technology and cloud players. With billions invested across dozens of markets, their joint venture platform is reshaping how hyperscale clients access data, power, and performance at global scale.
To support this growth, they’re now seeking a senior legal leader to join the Toronto-based executive team and oversee legal governance, risk and stakeholder engagement across their international joint venture (JV) platform.
The Role
- Represent Legal on the senior leadership team for the company’s global hyperscale infrastructure platform.
- Oversee legal support across complex JV models, M&A activity, large-scale customer leasing agreements, and capital structures.
- Provide strategic advice to C-level stakeholders and external JV investor partners.
- Lead the legal planning process across jurisdictions and functional teams.
- Oversee governance, legal compliance, and program delivery of new and existing JVs.
- Coordinate cross-functional legal support globally – including commercial, finance, real estate, and regulatory inputs.
- Guide negotiations, structure transactions, and manage legal risk across a high-value, fast-moving business.
- Build and lead a legal team aligned to business growth and investor expectations.
- Act as a visible leader across both internal and external legal forums.
The Person
We’re looking for a commercially astute and globally experienced legal leader, ideally with:
- 10+ years PQE and strong legal training in a top-tier firm and/or blue-chip in-house company.
- Proven leadership experience in infrastructure, energy, or data centre platforms – ideally with exposure to JVs, corporate finance, or large-scale capital projects.
- Technical background in complex deal structures, cross-border M&A, or financing frameworks.
- Deep stakeholder engagement experience, including with investor syndicates, banks or board-level executives.
- Ability to lead international teams, manage competing legal priorities, and drive business-aligned outcomes.
