Tasks and Responsibilities include:
- Guiding our teams in maintaining safe work environments and ensuring compliance with provincial and federal regulations.
- Ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety legislation across all sites.
- Conducting regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards.
- Leading investigations into incidents and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
- Developing and delivering health and safety training tailored to construction operations.
- Managing emergency procedures and lead risk assessment initiatives.
- Promoting a safety-first culture through open communication and leadership.
Required Skills and Knowledge
- 5+ years of experience as a Health & Safety Manager, supporting heavy civil construction projects.
- Canadian Registered Safety professional (CRSP), Certified Health and Safety Consultant (CHSC) or equivalent is preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
- Must be well-versed in Canadian safety regulations and committed to promoting a safe and inclusive work environment.
- Must be highly knowledgeable with occupational health and safety legislation in Canada.
- Experienced in conducting safety audits and site inspections.
- Must be confident in leading incident investigations and following through on improvements.
