Tasks and Responsibilities include:

  • Guiding our teams in maintaining safe work environments and ensuring compliance with provincial and federal regulations.
  • Ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety legislation across all sites.
  • Conducting regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards.
  • Leading investigations into incidents and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
  • Developing and delivering health and safety training tailored to construction operations.
  • Managing emergency procedures and lead risk assessment initiatives.
  • Promoting a safety-first culture through open communication and leadership.

Required Skills and Knowledge

  • 5+ years of experience as a Health & Safety Manager, supporting heavy civil construction projects.
  • Canadian Registered Safety professional (CRSP), Certified Health and Safety Consultant (CHSC) or equivalent is preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Must be well-versed in Canadian safety regulations and committed to promoting a safe and inclusive work environment.
  • Must be highly knowledgeable with occupational health and safety legislation in Canada.
  • Experienced in conducting safety audits and site inspections.
  • Must be confident in leading incident investigations and following through on improvements.
