Our people are at the heart of everything we do, and were looking for someone who shares that same passion for excellence and teamwork.<br><br></p><p>Your Role: HR / Payroll Administrator</p><p>Were looking for an HR / Payroll Administrator to join our Corporate Services team and support the day-to-day operations of Human Resources and Payroll.</p><p></p><p>This is a hands-on, detail-focused role where youll work closely with the Director of Human Resources to support payroll administration, benefits coordination, onboarding and offboarding, BambooHR workflows, recruitment coordination, and employee events.</p><p></p><p>Youll play an important role in keeping things organized, accurate, and running smoothly across the employee lifecycle. This position is well-suited for someone who enjoys structure, documentation, follow-through, and being a reliable support to both employees and leadership.</p><p></p><p>If you take pride in doing things right, keeping information confidential, and helping people behind the scenes, youll feel right at home in this role.</p><p></p><p>What Youll Do</p><p>Payroll:</p><ul><li>Support payroll processing by entering and maintaining payroll data, including hours, adjustments, and approved changes</li><li>Assist with validating payroll information prior to submission</li><li>Handle payroll-related information with a high level of confidentiality and discretion</li><li>Assist with payroll audits, reconciliations, and record-keeping</li><li>Flag discrepancies or concerns to HR leadership to ensure payroll accuracy</li></ul><p></p><p>Benefits, Onboarding & Offboarding Support:</p><ul><li>Support employee benefits administration, including enrolments, changes, and terminations</li><li>Maintain accurate benefits records in BambooHR</li><li>Assist with communication and coordination with benefit providers</li><li>Support onboarding by preparing documentation, coordinating system access, and tracking onboarding tasks</li><li>Assist with offboarding processes, including benefits termination and final documentation</li><li>Ensure employee lifecycle changes are completed accurately, on time, and documented</li></ul><p></p><p>Employee Files & Document Control:</p><ul><li>Maintain organized digital and physical employee files</li><li>Support standardized filing systems, naming conventions, and document retention</li><li>Ensure confidential information is stored securely and updated as required</li><li>Assist with audit, year-end, and compliance documentation</li></ul><p></p><p>BambooHR & HRIS Support:</p><ul><li>Support the maintenance of employee records, profiles, and workflows in BambooHR</li><li>Assist with onboarding checklists, e-signature requests, and HR workflows</li><li>Support HR reporting and data accuracy as requested</li><li>Assist with time-tracking administration for production teams</li></ul><p></p><p>Recruitment & Pre-Screening Support</p><ul><li>Conduct first-round phone screens and support candidate shortlisting</li><li>Schedule interviews and coordinate recruitment logistics</li><li>Support job postings, applicant tracking, and candidate records</li><li>Prepare interview materials and pre-hire documentation</li><li>Assist with coordinating background checks</li></ul><p></p><p>General HR Administrative Support</p><ul><li>Support HR leadership with training sessions, presentations, and workshops</li><li>Prepare letters, templates, reports, and internal communications</li><li>Monitor and triage HR inbox inquiries</li><li>Assist with collecting and organizing information for HR programs, surveys, and compliance initiatives</li></ul><p></p><p>Events & Culture Support</p><ul><li>Support employee events, celebrations, and recognition initiatives</li><li>Assist with planning and logistics for larger events such as Tech-Wood Day and our annual Christmas Party</li><li>Help prepare event communications, sign-up sheets, and materials</li></ul><p></p><p>What You Bring</p><ul><li>Diploma or certificate in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (asset)</li><li>13 years of HR or administrative support experience preferred</li><li>35 years of payroll and compliance experience</li><li>Experience with HRIS systems (BambooHR is an asset)</li><li>Strong organizational and time-management skills</li><li>High attention to detail and accuracy</li><li>Clear, professional, and friendly communication style</li><li>Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion</li><li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office and digital tools</li><li>Proactive, resourceful, and able to take initiative</li><li>Customer-service mindset when supporting employees and managers</li><li>Working knowledge of Canva (asset)</li></ul><p></p><p>What we Offer:</p><ul><li>Competitive compensation and benefits package</li><li>Group benefits after 3 months (health, dental, and more)</li><li>Paid vacation and sick days</li><li>Free on-site parking</li><li>Casual dress code and company events</li><li>Fast-paced, fun and collaborative work environment</li><li>A team that is invested in YOU professionally and personally<br><br>We appreciate all applications but only successful candidates will be contacted - Thank You!</li></ul></p></p>Create Your Resume First
