Job Title: Estimator – ICI & Residential Construction

Location: Hamilton, ON

Salary: $80,000 – $110,000, commensurate with experience

Our client, a well-established General Contractor based in Hamilton, is seeking a talented Estimator with experience in both ICI (Institutional, Commercial, Industrial) and residential construction to join their growing team. Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate estimates for new construction, renovations, and design-build projects across the ICI and residential sectors
• Review drawings, specifications, and tender documents to identify scope and requirements
• Perform detailed quantity take-offs and develop pricing for all construction divisions
• Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing
• Prepare bid submissions and assist in project handoff to construction teams
• Participate in pre-construction meetings and support value engineering initiatives

• Minimum 5 years of experience as an Estimator with a General Contractor in Ontario
• Proven experience estimating both ICI and residential projects
• Strong knowledge of local construction methods, building codes, and market pricing
• Proficiency with estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, Planswift, On-Screen Takeoff)
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills

• Salary range: $80,000 – $110,000, based on experience and qualifications
