Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced and technically proficient PING Engineer with deep expertise in OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), SAML, and enterprise identity platforms such as PingFederate, Entra ID (formerly Azure AD), and Microsoft Azure tools. The ideal candidate will not only understand the technical implementation of these protocols but also the strategic rationale behind their use in modern identity architectures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and maintain integrations with PingFederate, Entra ID, and Azure Identity tools.
- Design, implement, and manage secure authentication and authorization solutions using OAuth, OIDC, and SAML.
- Provide expert-level guidance on identity federation, SSO, and token-based authentication.
- Collaborate with security, infrastructure, and application teams to ensure seamless identity flows across systems.
- Troubleshoot complex identity issues and provide root cause analysis and resolution.
- Stay current with evolving standards and best practices in identity and access management.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Deep, hands-on experience with OAuth 2.0, OIDC, and SAML – including how and why they are used in enterprise environments.
- Proven expertise in PingFederate – including configuration, policy management, and integration.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) and related Azure identity tools.
- Solid understanding of identity lifecycle management, federation, and access governance.
- Ability to clearly articulate complex identity concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working in large-scale, enterprise environments with realistic, production-level deployments.
