Information Technology Project Manager

Job Description

LeverageTek is actively seeking an IT Project Manager (System Modernization) for a 12-month contract position with its Ottawa-based customer.

Key Tasks

• Lead the planning through to execution on the implementation of a new software version, which will also include identifying, assessing, and delivering new functionality (e.g., virtual screening – transition to Cloud)
• Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets for all three components.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams, including IT, clinical, vendor, and operations stakeholders.
• Monitor progress, manage risks, and resolve issues to keep the project on track.
• Lead vendor coordination efforts for cloud migration and application upgrades.
• Oversee pilot testing and evaluation of virtual screening functionality, including gathering user feedback and performance metrics.
• Prepare and deliver regular project updates and reports to leadership and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Qualifications

• Extensive background leading major system implementations within highly regulated environments
• Skilled in requirements gathering, analysis, and assessment
• Proven vendor management expertise

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading complex IT or healthcare-related projects, particularly involving software upgrades and cloud migrations.
• Strong understanding of AWS-hosted systems and vendor-managed platforms.
• Familiarity with clinical screening processes is a strong asset.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Healthcare or related industry background
• PMP certification or equivalent project management training preferred.
