IMMEDIATE INTERIM OPPORTUNITY
Interim Organizational Development Consultant
Reports to Chief Executive Officer
Duration: 3-6 Months
Location: Toronto, ON

Our client is a high growth Canadian services organization who are in the process of evolving their operating model to become a SAAS and product focused business. As part of this evolution, they need an experienced OD professional to work with the CEO and the ELT to gain alignment and build the roadmap for the transformation.
This is a high-impact, strategic role where you’ll drive critical initiatives to optimize target operating models, redefine roles, and establish robust governance structures. You’ll be instrumental in leading workforce transitions and ensuring our client’s organizational design efforts translate into real-world success.
To be successful in this assignment you will have a track record of helping ELT’s focus on one vision for the future of an organization and have created the roadmaps and pathways for them to get there empowering and engaging the whole organization throughout the journey.
Key Accountabilities:
- Gain alignment from the ELT on the future state operating model and structure of the organization.
- Build road maps outlining the pathway and timeline for the transformation.
- Identify key roadblocks and work with the ELT to ensure they have the toolkit to manage these situations.
- Design and implement cutting-edge organizational models, from conceptualization through to successful execution, ensuring alignment with the organization’s overarching business goals and operations.
- Lead projects to support the development and implementation of organizational design and the occupational group structure review across the department.
- Review existing work processes and organizational structures to determine their efficiency and effectiveness and make recommendations.
- Analyze current and end state organizational structures, develop options and recommend new organizational structures.
- Interpret organizational health metrics and data to support OD initiatives and assess opportunities across the enterprise.
- Spearhead end-to-end change management efforts, including workforce transition planning, role realignments, and communication strategies to ensure smooth transitions across a complex, interconnected organization.
- Partner closely with business leaders and stakeholders at all levels, acting as a trusted expert who can navigate complex challenges and provide actionable solutions within a rapidly evolving industry.
- Manage key aspects of project execution for org design initiatives, ensuring timely delivery, mitigating risks, and providing clear updates to stakeholders.
- Facilitate sessions and discussions to align new designs with workforce capabilities and business objectives across various global functions.
Competencies and Requirements:
- 10+ years of dedicated experience in Organizational Design, specifically leading the design and implementation of complex org transformations within scaling SAAS organizations.
- Significant experience (ideally 5+ years) from a major, reputable consulting firm (e.g., PwC, Accenture, Deloitte) is highly preferred. Your experience must be onshore and client-facing, demonstrating direct involvement in creating and implementing strategic org design solutions.
- Comfortable operating at a senior level, engaging with executives, and driving strategic conversations that shape the future of a global digital infrastructure leader.
- Understands how to embed change into design, anticipate impacts, and advise leadership on effective communication strategies for large-scale transformations.
- Identify gaps, anticipate challenges, and walk in with solutions.
- Thrives in dynamic, sometimes ambiguous, environments.
- Master certificate in organizational development and change is preferred.
